Things to do on the Sunshine Coast, Queensland
The Sunshine Coast’s most scenic walk stretches from the still waters of Bulcock Beach to the crashing surf on Caloundra Headland. It begins on the Bulcock Beach boardwalk with cafes and restaurants on one side and peaceful views of Bulcock Beach, Bribie Island and Pumicestone Passage on the other. The pathway hugs the shore as it winds northeast to the ocean beaches, through shady parks, kids’ playgrounds and on to Kings Beach, one of the finest on the Sunshine Coast. Pause for coffee at Saltwater at Kings overlooking the ocean, then check out the saltwater pool and heritage-listed bathing pavilion (1937) at Kings Beach before tackling the spectacular Headland Esplanade pathway with its towering Norfolk pine trees and sweeping ocean views.
The path passes the Anzac Memorial and Centaur Park with a memorial to the hospital ship Centaur, which was torpedoed during World War II.
